Taste of Grand Island
I grew up in a small town smack dab in between Buffalo and Niagara Falls called Grand Island.
It's shaped like a pork chop. Seriously. Google it...I'll wait.
See? I told you.
Anyway, a few weekends ago, "The Island" as we lovingly call it, held a Taste of Grand Island. It made me laugh, because the only restaurants I remember being on the island growing up was a McDonald's, Burger King, and Subway. Things have since progressed, and a few more restaurants have since been added!
The weather was so gorgeous for the festival, and I was able to snap a few pictures!
It was great to see such a crowd out and about!
BFF Krystle!!
My fabulous parents!
Here are a few of the restaurants that were there!
Krystle and I actually ate at the Cheesy Chick food truck...I've always wanted to try it and I'm so glad that we finally got the chance.
She had a veggie wrap and I had the grilled cheddar and apple sandwich..LIFE CHANGING. I'm actually going to make my own version for dinner tonight.
There was a petting zoo for the kids, but naturally, we are all kids at heart, right? Of course we had to say hi to the animals!
Oh yeah, and major props to the old dude who photobombed me. I know this is someone's dad....time to fess up, people.
