While the rest of the fashion world is wrapped up in NYC Fashion Week, Buffalo is getting ready for our own Fashion Week! This year I am so excited and honored to be offered a press pass for Mercedes-Benz of Buffalo Fashion Week, and I can't wait to partake in the festivities.

Mercedes‐Benz of Buffalo Fashion Week Kicks Off Fifth Year
Buffalo, NY (September 9, 2013) – Mercedes‐Benz of Buffalo Fashion Week is proud to announce its fifth year of weeklong fashion events in September. Buffalo Fashion Week has seven special events planned, all featuring the best of Buffalo’s fashion, shopping and beauty world, as well as showcasing special talent who will be traveling from other cities in the U.S. and around the world.
Thursday, September 19 will kick off the Fashion Week festivities with the Niagara Square Photo Shoot. Models, photographers, hair and makeup artists will be taking over Niagara Square for a fun, promotional photo shoot from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mayor Byron Brown will also be attending to issue a proclamation announcing the official start of Mercedes-Benz of Buffalo Fashion Week.
Later that night, doors open for the “FAME” Fashion Show at The Waiting Room. Designers/vendors will include Bales Clothing Co., Addicted Denim, Sourpearls, S&R Boutique and more. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the show will start at 8:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at www.balesclothing.com or at Urban Threads at 736 Elmwood Ave.
Saturday, September 21, Buffalo Fashion Week will take over the Walden Galleria with The Mall Show. The show will feature a variety of stores in the Galleria, including a kid’s clothing portion. The mall show is free and will start at 1 p.m.
For the first time, Buffalo Fashion Week will be including a beauty expo to their weeklong lineup. The BFW Beauty Expo will be held on Sunday, September 22 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. The day‐long event will feature dozens of local salons and the latest in hair styles, makeup and beauty. Guests will wine and dine throughout the day with the opportunity to see the latest trends in hair and makeup, and be pampered by some of Buffalo’s finest hair stylists and makeup artists. For the public, doors will open at 1 p.m.
Tuesday, September 24 is The Boutique Show at The Mansion on Delaware. The show will feature local boutiques such as Elmwood’s newest clothing and accessories boutique, Blush, who will be featuring Vania & David. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
On Wednesday, September 25, Buffalo Fashion Week will be putting on a workshop along with Villa Maria College, featuring Project Runway Season 10 contestant, Christopher Palu. The event is open to prospective fashion students at Villa Maria.
Thursday, September 26 is the Main Event for Mercedes‐Benz of Buffalo Fashion Week. The Main Event is a night full of runway shows, vendor exhibitions, lavish food and drink, alongside some of Buffalo’s most stylish residents. Runway shows will feature designers such as Jimmy Lee Designs, Marc/Ella, Deana Ansara, Rock’N’Roll People, and Franci Jewelry. There will also be a special guest appearance by Christopher Palu as well. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
