The Cara Box
The Cara Box
cara (car-rah) noun : beloved friend
Awesome things in the mail + Meeting new women + Encouragement = Cara Box
At the beginning of this month, I found out about the Cara Box exchange that was hosted by the wonderful Kaitlyn over at Wifesessionals. How it works is that you sign up at the beginning of the month and Kaitlyn pairs you with two different people, one to send you a package and one for you to send a package to. You get to know these two people over the course of the month, their likes and dislikes and details about their lives, and then compile a box which fits the monthly theme, and send it off to them! I absolutely loved this idea because who doesn't love getting surprise packages in the mail?
This month I was paired with two lovely bloggers, Savannah over at Arizona Sunshine (she was sending to me) and Kaysey over at Thinking Out Cloud (I was sending to her). Both women were so sweet and it was fantastic getting to know them over the month.
This month's theme was nautical, great summer theme!
When I received Savannah's box, I was SO EXCITED! I felt like a kid on Christmas again! Here are a few photos of what I was sent:
She knew that I loved baking, so she packaged everything in this cake carrier which was so thoughtful! I don't have a round cake carrier so I will definitely get use out of this!
An awesome card which a super long and sweet message inside.
And the contents of the box!
In the card, she broke down everything in the box. She knew that I am a Forever 21 jewelry horder, so she sent me this ring that reminded her of nautical chains and the middle nautical-inspired sparrow earrings (hello Captain Jack Sparrow!) The nautical navy nail polish is perfect to add to my collection, I've been looking for a great navy polish and I can't wait to try this!
The Sea Breeze candle smelled delicious and made me want to relax on the beach!
And then hello polka dot umbrella and scarf...she knows how obsessed I am with polka dots! And I was recently complaining to my friend how I was jealous of her polka dot umbrella, and now I have my own!
As soon as I pulled the ring out of the box I had to put it on...I've been wearing it non-stop!
Thanks so much Savannah, the box is totally nautical, totally perfect, and totally me!
You can find out what I sent Kaysey at her blog HERE.
I highly recommend signing up for the Cara Box exchange. You get to meet some great people, and even non-bloggers can join! Visit Wifesessionals for more details! I can't wait to sign up for next month.
