Adventures in Anthropologie

Have you ever walked into a store, and saw something so adorable that it would actually pain you if you did not try it on? No?

Just me?

My cousin is getting married on June 1st, and although I have many adorable dresses hanging in my closet, it never hurts to shop around for something new, right?

By now you all know my complete and utter obsession with Anthropologie. Every single time I go into that store, I seem to purchase something. Whether it be a piece of jewelry or a dress, I just can't stay away. Anthro is pretty much my go-to store for dresses now, so when I went to the mall last weekend, I popped in to see what was new.

Well, as soon as I walked in the entrance, this dress reached out and smacked me in the face and I was under its spell.

Anthro 4

SERIOUSLY?! Seriously. How effing amazing is this dress? The colors are so gorgeous and unlike any other dress that I own. So, naturally, I had to try it on. The verdict?

Anthro 3

I. LOVE. IT. This little beauty is called the Ribboned Quilotoa Dress and it is perfection. As you can see, the colors are much more vibrant in person than on the website. The craftsmanship on this dress is wonderful; it looks completely handmade with the embroidery and the different pieces of fabric sewn together. I texted this picture to my mother who fell in love with it as well, so she went back to the mall to purchase it for me. Talk about one incredible mom!!! So happy that I found a fabulous dress for the wedding. Now all I need to pair with it is a colorful chunky necklace, simple clutch, and my nude heels and I'll be good to go.

Here are two other dresses that I tried on but didn't purchase:

Anthro 1

This is the Voksoper Dress. It was in the clearance section. It fit really well, but it didn't have that "wow" factor that I was looking for.

Anthro 2

This dress came in super close second place to the one at the beginning of this post. This is the Banded Totem Shift and it was so interesting and festive. I think my only big issue with this one was that I'm not used to wearing shift dresses, so it wasn't that comfortable to me, but it was stunning.

My darling Anthro, you came through for me once again and I can't wait to wear my new dress!
