Happy Birthday Nicholas!

My husband Nicholas' birthday is tomorrow, and I wanted to write a little post dedicated to him.

We dated since 2002, and have been married for 4 years this coming July. We are actually total opposites- he is a nature boy who hikes and hunts and fishes, loves 70's rock music, still wears the same clothes he's had since high school, and can fix everything from a lawn mower to an SUV; I am a fabulous girl who loves the beach, 90's boy bands and musical theater, walking around the mall, and dancing my face off with my best friends.

But throughout our relationship, we have both come to love and appreciate each other's passions in life. He has taken me to Shea's multiple times and sat through musicals and plays, and actually enjoyed them, and I have developed a love of hiking and fly fishing- I still can't stand to take the hook out of the fish's mouth, but I'm working on it.

I love his compassion and his empathy. He is a fantastic 4th grade teacher (I seriously don't know how he does it) and an awesome father to our fur-baby Bella. I can honestly say that he has made me a better person, and I am so happy to be his other half.

We have our hard times, and boy have there been hard times, but we always come out of it stronger than ever.

I couldn't imagine my life with anybody else, and frankly, I really don't know who else in this world could put up with my crazy ass.

Happy birthday Nicholas. You deserve everything and more. Rock on with your bad self. I love you!
