The Greatest Monday Ever
Today just might be the greatest Monday in the history of everything. Why, you ask?
Well, because of this man...
Mmmmmm yes, super delicious amazing Mr. Anthony Bourdain is coming to Shea's tonight for his Guts and Glory tour, and I am SO EXCITED. I've seen a few chefs on tour, but I have a feeling that this is going to be my favorite of the bunch. And not just because he's on my "old man crush" list. Well, mostly because he's on my "old man crush" list.
Doesn't everyone have one of those lists?
Lindsay's Old Man Crush List
- Anthony Bourdain
- Harrison Ford
- Alan Rickman
- Christoph Waltz
- Pierce Brosnan
- Chris Meloni
So anywayyyyy, I took the day off today to try to stalk him, I MEAN, to try to relax before the show and catch up on some blog posts that I've been meaning to write.
If you saw my post yesterday, I was a makeup artist for the Hip Gypsy fashion show at the Riviera Theatre in North Tonawanda. Being my first fashion show, I didn't know what to expect. It was hectic, insane, incredibly sweaty and smelly, but so much fun. I'll post some great pictures after my friend Brook edits everything, but here are a few shots that I posted on Instagram last night:
I loved that they actually had proper dressing rooms where I could set up my stuff, but seriously, I should have known better and brought my tall chair. TALL CHAIRS make all of the difference in the world. My back and legs are killing me today from contorting my body in various positions to get the makeup done in the squatty chairs.
These three girls were the sweetest things ever. These dresses were the works of art from Mary Grace who had the exhibition up at Wine on Third. They were made from all sorts of materials from gift bags to blue prints...the colors were so amazing and I'm happy that I got to break out my jewel tones! I worked on the girl with the mask and the girl in the middle. The other girl with the feather on her head was done by another artist.
Lovely!
This was after 9 hours of insanity. I was running on a pear and a glass of champagne. Oh, I forgot about the mini peanut butter cup. Why didn't I pass out?
Oh, and I was printed in the program...you know, because I'm kind of a big deal.
Have a great Monday, lovers!
xoxo
