Anthropologie Spring 2013
This past Saturday, I was invited to the Anthropologie Spring 2013 fashion show at the Walden Galleria mall. I was absolutely going to go since Anthropologie is my number one favorite store ever (tied with Target, of course). I was able to bring a friend, so naturally I asked my BFF Krystle, and she was in! We felt super fancy going to our very first fashion show and we had a great time! The show was set up in the back of the store, and on each seat there was the newest catalog and a beautiful tulip.
These lovely giant flowers were placed where the models would walk out onto the "runway."
Here is my lovely companion wearing THIS fabulous Express top.
And here I am, wearing the outfit from yesterday's post.
They also had some delicious wine and snacks. The awesome baked goods were from Elm Street Bakery in East Aurora. I have never been there but their stuff was AMAZING. I will definitely be visiting the store after eating some of their goodies. Our favorite were the cinnamon rolls...to die for!
Then the fashion show started! I'm posting some of my favorite looks, and I'll do my best to find each piece on the website and add the link under the pictures:
Bisected Studio Buttondown . Pilcro Linen Wide-Legs . Stitched Floral Scarf
Swirled Paisley Halter Dress . Havre Floppy Hat
Splitneck Peasant Blouse . Sanoh Gauze Skirt
Lace Peplum Blouse . Clematis Pencil Skirt
MiH Paris Crop . Bold Hues Infinity Scarf
There were a lot more outfits in the show, but these were the ones that I got the best photos of. The one outfit in particular that I didn't get a photo of was actually the outfit that I purchased!
I'm normally not a romper person, I think they can look a little awkward if not made/styled correctly. But this romper that I purchased is so gorgeous...it resembles more of a dress than a romper, and that's why I think I fell in love with it.
Behold....the Drafted Petals Romper
It has the sweetest slight puff sleeve, a matching thin fabric tie around the waist, and the material is super light and soft...perfect for summer! I can't wait to pair this with a cute wedge and a fun bag and some delicate jewelry. LOVE!
I understand that Anthro is a bit expensive, but every single one of their dresses that I own are fantastic quality and are still just like new even after multiple wears over multiple years. Most of the time I bargain shop, and that is fine with staples such as a chambray button up or a pair of jeans, but to me, dresses are special. I consider them my investment pieces and I don't mind spending more on a quality item!
And I am pleased to announce that Krystle has made her first ever Anthro purchase...she bought THIS super cute striped top that will be perfect in the summer with a pair of white shorts and a fun sandal. We had to take a picture to document the occasion!
Welcome to the club, girlfriend!
