Loving Local During Quarantine
It’s kind of hard to believe that we are in the middle of week seven of “social distancing” here in Buffalo. Even though it’s been so long, I’m still trying to cope with this new form of normal. I have my good days and bad days, just like all of us do, and on top of that I’m currently trying to navigate around the whole “filing for unemployment” thing which has NOT been fun.
A few of the things that help break up my weeks and shine a little light into my life have been those times when I can support local businesses. As you know, I’m all about shopping and eating local, and right now our community needs support more than ever. I wanted to start a list of a few of the local shops and restaurants that I’ve been giving extra love to during this pandemic. If you’re in Western New York, make sure to check out some of these businesses below!
What I’m wearing
This cardigan from Nigh Road Farmhouse
This tee from Buff-a-Logo (gifted)
This sweatshirt from Molly + Kate
This jewelry from Rove Jewelry & Accessories (gifted)
I purchased two Karma bands to use as face coverings from Beulah’s General Store. She does not have these listed online as they go so fast, so make sure to give her a call at the store or check their Instagram page for availability and no-contact pick up.
