Fall Fashion Trends With Village Designs

It’s a well known fact that summer is my favorite season.

BUT

I have to admit that this year I was getting super excited for fall for one reason only…the fall fashion.

The sweaters, the boots, and all of the coziness are so enticing when the weather starts to cool down. And I fully admit that I have no shame for sounding super basic :)

I’ve partnered with one of my favorite local boutiques, Village Designs, to bring you two looks that have become my uniform this fall.

The first trend that I’m loving is the cozy knit sweater, although it’s not so much a trend as it is a classic look that will never go out of style.

I picked this sweater up at Village Designs a few weeks ago, and of course right after I took it home, the weather shot back up to 80 degrees. Now that Buffalo is back in the cooler temps, I can be seen sporting a hundred variations of this outfit: knitted sweater, skinny jeans, and booties.

The second fall fashion trend that I’m all about at the moment is the long open cardigan.

Bonus points if it’s in a fun print, like this beautiful animal print number that I also picked up at Village Designs!

I’ve slowly been incorporating more prints into my wardrobe, and I find that it’s easier for me to work with an allover print if it’s in a neutral color. I can see myself wearing this beauty so many different ways: with black dress pants for work, leather leggings and a tunic, or over a black dress with tights and booties.
