Personal Style: The White Party
Last week I had the opportunity to attend a "White Party" black-tie fundraiser benefiting Child & Adolescent Treatment Services put on by PEAR Event Planning (I'l have more details about this in a separate post!) The event took place at the University of Buffalo Center for the Arts atrium and I was so excited because I've never been to a fancy-shmancy party before.
There was a strict dress code for the event. Guests could only wear black or white evening attire, which was pretty exciting for me because I love to dress up. I was going to pull the usual LBD out of my closet, but I decided to don a fantastic white (cream) lace dress for the night!
Colored accessories were permitted, and since the dress had a shimmery nude/gold underlay, I went with my fantastic pair of gold glitter heels, a beautiful gold and jeweled floral statement necklace, and a black clutch which flashed purple in the light.
White is not just a summer color! Winter white looks so fabulous with dark accessories and a rich lip color.
Do you wear white in the winter?
