The Greatest Cranberry Sauce in the History of the World
Believe me when I say that the title of this post isn't a lie.
I was debating posting this recipe becuase it's that amazing that I wanted to keep it to myself, but then I figured that since I'm such a wonderful person who loves sharing information with my readers, I had to give you this gift.
If you are obsessed with cranberry sauce like I am, you need to make this for your Thanksgiving table. DON'T EVEN LOOK IN THE DIRECTION OF THE CANNED CRANBERRY JELLY DISASTER IN THE GROCERY STORE. This recipe is insanely easy and extremely delicious and I love to eat it on pretty much everything. Hell, I eat it with a spoon while standing in the kitchen in my pj's at night...shhhhh don't tell anyone.
Insanely Good Cranberry Sauce
1 (12-ounce) bag of fresh cranberries, cleaned 1 cup of water 3/4 cups sugar (I like it more tarte, you can add more sugar if you like it sweeter) 1 medium apple, peeled and chopped 1 large orange, zest grated and juiced
Directions: Cook the cranberries, sugar, and 1 cup of water in a saucepan over low heat until the skins pop open. Add the apple, orange zest and juice and cook for 15 more minutes. Remove from the heat and let cool, serve chilled.
