A few weeks ago I had wrote a post about the Oxford Pennant Pop-Up…and it’s finally open!

With the help of Fern Croft, the entire store has been transformed into a beautiful wonderland full of succulents, air plants, ferns, moss, and everything in between.  Everywhere you look, there is something new to explore…it is totally magical!  And, a fun fact, all of these plants are for sale.  I picked up a lovely wooden air planter which looks perfect in my office…and I haven’t killed the air plant yet, which is a miracle!

Among the beautiful flora, Oxford Pennant is also selling carefully hand-picked items that are incredibly unique and a gardener’s dream…watering cans, hanging planters, gardening gloves, etc. But for those of us who were not blessed with that green thumb, they also sell pieces that are perfect for us fashionable folks…sunglasses, Oxford Pennant tees, and my personal favorite, these “Stay Lucky” and “Raise Hell” cuff bracelets.  So cute!

I wish that I had a magnetic wall in my house so I could fill them with these magnetic air planters! Don’t these look like little pineapples?

You are also able to purchase their pennants as well, which you could previously only purchase on their website.  I pretty much wanted to take every single one home with me.

Oxford Pennant Spring Pop-Up

Okay, so I have a confession to make.

I’m kind of, sorta, completely, utterly obsessed with Oxford Pennant.  Seriously, this past year, EVERYONE received Oxford pennants from me as gifts.  Best. Ever.

Last year, Oxford created a pop-up shop called The Victory Gardens in December.  I actually wrote a blog post about it which you can find HERE.

For those of you who were able to attend their Holiday pop-up, you remember how incredible it was, right?  Such amazing pieces that were perfect for anyone on your gift list.

But hold up.  Next weekend, Oxford is REOPENING THE VICTORY GARDENS! *cue the heavenly music*  Their Spring pop-up grand re-opening is Saturday, May 20th from 6-9:30pm, and will be running through July 3rd.  I have a little bit of insider intel, and from what I hear, the shop is going to look absolutely beautiful!

Hope to see you there!

Time to fall in LOVE with JORD

This post was sponsored by JORD Wood Watches

In the past few years, I’ve grown to really love watches.  They’ve come a long way from just being a boring piece that you wear on your wrist just to tell time.  Watches are a huge fashion statement, and now they are being made out of materials other than your standard leather bands.

I was recently contacted by JORD Wood Watches…yes, you read that correctly!  JORD carries watches in 13 different types of wood, including Bamboo, Zebrawood, Maple, Koa, and Rosewood.  The watch that I fell in love with is the Frankie, which is made out of Koa & Ash.  My wardrobe consists of mostly black, white and grey, so I immediately knew that this watch would be the perfect compliment to any outfit that I wear.

Here’s the link to my watch…I’m completely obsessed with it!

Initially, I thought that this watch was going to be on the heavier side, seeing as it’s made out of wood.  But honestly, it’s the lightest watch that I own! It’s so comfortable and super stylish…basically everything that I could want in a watch.

There are so many gorgeous and stylish pieces for both men and women.  There’s something for everyone!  For those of you who love a pop of color, make sure to browse all of their watches.  Most styles come in different woods and different face colors.

JORD and I would like you thank you for being my loyal readers and you can enter here for their instant giveaway and receive a $25 gift code towards watch of your choice!!  They are all so beautifully crafted that it’s so hard to pick a favorite, isn’t it?  This giveaway is available for a limited time only, so make sure to enter today!

Make sure to check out their full MEN’S and WOMEN’S lines…so gorgeous!

Queen City Fashion Week: The Boutique Show

 photo DSC_0132.jpg

No matter how many local fashion shows that I attend, large or small, each and every one makes me so excited to be a part of something huge in this city.  Generally when someone thinks of Buffalo, fashion is not the first thing that comes to mind.  Well, I am proud to be a witness to the explosion of the fashion industry in Buffalo, and the main runway show at Queen City Fashion Week showcased this beautifully.

With the help of their amazing team, Queen City Fashion Week was the made possible by Rick Warne and Rachel Good.  After a few years without a fashion week, this was just the thing that Buffalo needed to showcase some of the incredible boutiques and talent that this city holds.

The show was held at The Foundry Suites on Elmwood. It’s such a beautiful location…I’ve been there a few times and it was the perfect space for this event. The mixture of the industrial ceiling, the beautiful lighting and stunning clothing created the perfect fashion storm.

There were two parts to the show:  The Boutique Showcase and The Designer Showcase.  The Boutique Showcase included Atelier, Blush, Second Chic, Village Designs, Turnstyle, Visualeyes, and Half & Half.  Here are some photos of my favorite looks from the Boutique Show!

 photo 14434797_1087547474626008_4188784763712248645_o.jpg

I’m excited to say that after a few year’s hiatus, Fashion Week is BACK in Buffalo!  Last time Buffalo hosted their own Fashion Week was 2013…you can read one of my posts about the main runway show HERE!  Still one of my favorite events to date so I am hoping that this year’s will be just as exciting!

Queen City Fashion Week 2016 started this past Sunday with the Coronation Photoshoot, and the next event is happening tonight.  Join us at the For the Love of Fashion Industry Mixer at 6pm at the Karpeles Manuscript Library Museum.  There will be food, drinks, and some great speakers.

The Crown Runway Show is the main event which is happening on Thursday.  Tickets are still available and can be purchased HERE.  If you are interested in the fashion scene in Buffalo, you definitely won’t want to miss this show.  They have some amazing shops and designers lined up to show some of their best looks!

I’ll be at both events, so if you see me, stop me and say hayyyyyy!

Puccoon Raccoon

I first heard about the local business Puccoon Raccoon on the Jack Craft Fair’s Instagram account.  They had posted a photo of this unicorn necklace and I immediately died and knew that I had to have it.  I’m a huge unicorn lover as you can tell from my fabulous salt and pepper shakers here.

The woman behind these super whimsical pieces is named Jessica and she’s based out of Rochester, NY.

It was SO hard for me to settle on a specific one piece, since they were all so adorable, but when I saw my unicorn I knew that was it!

Delighted By: The Original Dessert Hummus

 photo 33E63357-9422-43CD-B4C0-598602B1F63B.jpg
This post is sponsored by Delighted By. All opinions are my own.

I’ve tried so hard to be a hummus person.  I’ve tried it multiple times in different flavors, but I just couldn’t get into it.  I have some friends who think it’s the best thing ever invented, and that made me feel like I was missing out on this community of healthy dipping.

Well, now I think I can finally join the “I Love Hummus” club thanks to Delighted By.

Delighted By is the first dessert hummus on the market.  I know what you are thinking, “Hummus? For dessert?”  Trust me.  You won’t be disappointed.

Delighted By was founded by Makenzie Marzluff.  She had an idea of opening a custom hummus bar, and while dreaming up recipes, she was hung up on the dessert portion of the menu.  Loving to experiment with new things, she started creating all sorts of dessert hummus recipes in her kitchen.  Not thinking anything of it, Makenzie brought one of her recipes to a Super Bowl party, and people went crazy for it.  It was at that point when she knew that she had something special.

She started bringing her product at Farmer’s Markets in Phoenix, and would sell out every single time.  Finally, Makenzie decided that this was her calling to make the next step to grow her business.  Fast forward a year and LOTS of hard work later, and now you can find Delighted By in Wegmans stores!!  For those of you who are lucky enough to call Wegmans your local grocery store, you know just how major this is.

 photo 67EA3584-9398-4C68-AF56-3576AD759740.jpg

I had the pleasure of meeting with Makenzie last weekend, and she was such a delight (pun intended) to speak with.  She exudes an extreme love and passion for her business, and that’s such a refreshing thing to see.  One of my favorite things about Delighted By is their motto, which is “Spread your glitter.”   Your glitter can be anything: love, laughter, friendship, anything that shows how much you shine.  I’m a naturally positive person and tend to see the best in people and situations, so it’s important to me to always spread my glitter around and show the world who I really am.  I think that’s a mantra that we all should follow daily!

 photo DDC1530A-C422-47C4-B4E8-182844795AC0.jpg

Right now, Makenzie is on a major road trip in her awesome van spreading her glitter all around the country.  If you find yourself near a Wegmans, make sure to pick up a container (or four) of Delighted By.  You’ll be hooked!
