I don’t hate working out. I don’t hate it, but let’s be real, I don’t always love it.
I was a member of a gym for a few years, and then life got busy so I cancelled my membership. Now, to stay in shape, I use the treadmill in my basement, multiple fitness DVDs, and take the occasional run/walk in Delaware Park.
Sometimes, the same old routine can get super boring and you can feel like you are in a rut. This is why I’m SO excited that Canalside Buffalo offers outdoor fitness classes in the summer!
I’ve taken two classes so far. Kickboxing and Pound. Kickboxing wasn’t my thing but I fell in love with Pound after the class on Wednesday. If you’ve never heard of it, it’s a full-body workout with lots of cardio and squats using weighted drumsticks. It’s a blast but seriously, I can’t move today. SO SORE. That’s how I know I got a great workout!
They offer so many different classes in the summer from yoga to barre to dancing. There’s something for everyone!
