Taste of Grand Island

DSC_0036

I grew up in a small town smack dab in between Buffalo and Niagara Falls called Grand Island.

It’s shaped like a pork chop.  Seriously.  Google it…I’ll wait.

See?  I told you.

Anyway, a few weekends ago, “The Island” as we lovingly call it, held a Taste of Grand Island.  It made me laugh, because the only restaurants I remember being on the island growing up was a McDonald’s, Burger King, and Subway.  Things have since progressed, and a few more restaurants have since been added!

The weather was so gorgeous for the festival, and I was able to snap a few pictures!

It was great to see such a crowd out and about!

Krystle and I actually ate at the Cheesy Chick food truck…I’ve always wanted to try it and I’m so glad that we finally got the chance.

She had a veggie wrap and I had the grilled cheddar and apple sandwich..LIFE CHANGING.  I’m actually going to make my own version for dinner tonight.

There was a petting zoo for the kids, but naturally, we are all kids at heart, right?  Of course we had to say hi to the animals!

I once stayed on Grand Island with my family when we came to visit Niagara Falls…it was such a fun experience – though is it normally so fogging on the island at night?
