It’s time for installment 3 of “WTF do I wear with chambray?”
As a refresher, I am dedicating one post per week in April to styling the classic chambray shirt because my friend on Facebook had bought her first chambray and was looking for ideas on how to wear it.
I have already shown you how to style chambray with denim and with two different skirts, and for this week’s post, I am pairing it with two different pairs of colored jeans.
Here’s my take on chambray and colored denim!
First up, a bright and fun pair of red skinny jeans:
You don’t have to be afraid of colored denim! I admit that I was a little intimidated at first, but the look can be a lot less scary when paired with the classic shirt. I added the animal print loafer for an extra touch of fun. You can’t beat a fun shoe that is super comfortable at the same time.
Now notice that this chambray is a darker color than the others that I have posted. I definitely think there is a need to have more than one or two (or five) of these shirts in your wardrobe. There are so many different treatments and fits and they can all be styled differently. For example, a more tailored shirt can be used to dress up for work or to go out, and a more distressed shirt would be better paired with shorts or jeans.
And for our next look, we have a pair of classic white cropped jeans:
Who says you have to wait until after Memorial Day to wear white? Fashion is about breaking the rules, and I would totally wear this outfit tomorrow if the weather would actually cooperate for once.
Navy and white, so nautical and fresh! You can seriously never go wrong with navy and white. It is one of those classic combinations that will never go out of style.
Thanks for joining me on this week’s episode of “WTF do I wear with chambray?” Stay tuned next week for the last post in this series!
