Personal Style: Chambray & Two Skirts

Welcome to the second installment of “WTF do I wear with chambray?” You can view the first post HERE.

For those wondering why I am making these series of posts, as I described last week, my friend had bought her first chambray shirt and was wondering how to style it. That gave me the idea to do a weekly post in April with multiple ideas on how to style the shirt, as they are one of my favorites (I have 4 of them in my closet right now).

Last week I paired chambray with denim and did a day to night look. This week I am pairing it with two different skirts, and I am also showing how the same shirt can be worn day to night.

Up first, we have our “day” look:

I bought this bandage skirt a few months ago, it’s a Lauren Conrad for Kohl’s. Can we just talk about how adorable her clothing line is? I love her.

The skirt itself can be dressed up or down, but when paired with the chambray top, gives it a totally relaxed and casual look that will be perfect for the warmer months. I could have gone with black accessories to match the black in the skirt, but I like the contrast of pairing the brown sandals and bag with the black. It’s kind of like wearing both silver and gold jewelry together, somehow it totally works.

And now, we have our “night” look:

I’m kind of obsessed with tulle skirts lately, (I’ve got my eye on you Shabby Apple), and when I saw this polka dot tulle skirt at Anthropologie on CLEARANCE, I just had to snap it up!

I can’t wait to actually wear this outfit out for dinner or drinks. It’s so cute and flirty and hello, polka dots and tulle!

  1. I love both your outfits. Chambray shirts are the best. So versatile. Just recently bought a light wash one and can’t wait to style it!
